First jobs at 16+ ?

I was wondering how you go about getting a sat job at a cafe? i live near alot of them, but it doesn't seem prefessional to just go in and ask if they need any more staff. How should i go about it? Any tips, or things to do or not to do. Also any alternative places that would allow 16yr olds to work for them?

    They might advertise in the window but if you just casually ask if they have any jobs going they won't mind. That's how I got a pub job, just be asking, that way they see your face and you can give them your phone number..Good luck.. At 16 you can do most jobs (other than bar) such as shop, glass collecting, waitressing etc. Take my tip and work somewhere classy and tart yourself up a bit so you get lots of tips.
