I looked up a site called workingonline and they had alot of jobs there one in particular where for geocities. com I guess what you do is send this person a $5 bill to get on this list and then you sent out a letter like the one at the above site and sooner or later you get paid for it. Has anyone ever done this and is it successful?

IMHO sites like this rely on people daft enough to send money to people they don't know for a dream that doesn't exist. They prey on hope.

The amount is set suitably low so that people think to themselves "oh well, $5 isn't much to lose if nothing happens".

Can you afford to lose $5? Because that's probably all that will happen.

Let us know though, if you do go ahead.

These are a hoax. You are led to believe that this hierarchal pyramid will result in everyone making something out of it (through constant referrals). However, only one person (the skanky bugger that started it off) will reap the benefits.

Steer totally clear of that, m8. Also, it may be legal in the US according to postal laws but I can tell you, I know that it is definitely illegal here. I've read up on it in Internet magazines.

You don't get something for nothing in this life otherwise we'd all be rolling in it wouldn't we? Concentrate on using and developing your own skills and apply some hard work if you want to make loads of money.

PS. These pyramid sellers often advertise on other websites in forums and free classifieds because its effective free advertising. This doesn't mean its not dodgy.

I've just had a thought Gwai......

We could form some kind of co-operative venture, we could get together say 10 of us and each put in 50p (or 50 cents).

Then for the sake of research and exposure, we could subscribe to one of these get rich quick schemes between us and publish a daily account of what happens next. It wouldn't take long for people to realise that nothing happens. People who are tempted may well be put off by the account of real experiences, as opposed to glorified paper testimonials.

Bet it would get some press coverage (or maybe we should just see if Watchdog have done it already.

OK I'll take my altruistic hat off now <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif">

    That's a great idea, J9 but I have a different idea.

I'm not into get rich quick schemes like the one mentioned above, but there are certain web programs that you can use to your advantage.

I am a member of lots of different programs where you do things like: review music, fill in surveys, browse websites, etc and you get rewarded for doing it.

The rewards are excellent. I purchase Amazon.com gift certificates so that I can buy DVDs, CDs, books, etc. There are loads of other rewards too.

Click below if you want to try one out. Believe me, they are definitely worth it.

If anyone wants me to post more of these type of programs just let me know by posting messages in this thread.

    Good Luck.

Con merchants make their living on "what ifs". Please be careful.

Well their are certainly no 'What ifs' with the programs that I have metioned where you earn rewards to spend on the web. They are totally legit.

I've made loads of free DVDs out of them in the last few months for doing nothing. I just refer my friends and get loads of points for doing it. I just go and check my balance every now and again and there are more points in there.

Talking of which, on Trocamania http://www.trocamania.com/register.asp?t=home&lang=eng&r=melissa%40atlast%2Eco%2Euk (which I mention above), they are giving 150 Trocas for every friend you refer this month (ends in October). After then it will be the normal 65 Trocas per referal.

So if you are going to join it, now is definitely the best time.

Oh, and you never need to part with any money! (Unlike those illegal email pyramid thingies that we were initially talking about).

I've got 283 Trocas so far.

Now I've signed up on two of your referals, how about going for mine?

I have to enter your name & email, then they send you an email inviting you to join.
