Sciency gap-year job

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
From September onwards im going to be taking a gap year in between A-levels and uni. I am taking Biology, Chemistry and Art for A level and im going to be studying Biology at uni. During my gap year i want a science-related job that i could do with my limited qualifications but i could learn a lot from. Does anyone have any idea of what sort of job i should apply for or any jobs that are going?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. <IMG SRC="smile.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">

I dont mean to sound harsh but i think you would be pretty hard pressed to find a science related job that pays well for just a year on only A levels. I havnt looked in to it, but it just seems unlikely. Maybe you should look in to something else, I mean you will have plenty of time to gain experience in your chosen field. If its just money you want, perhaps look in to other jobs, as its only for a year. Dont really know, but that what i would have thought, sorry if its crap!

    Hi Scorpion

Try your local Job Centre, they have a database that includes science jobs. Perhaps you could work as a lab technician or something similar. The earlier you can start looking, the better, and there may be a specialist recruitment agency near to where you live - check the phonebook.
