Sorry, but you can do whatever you want, if you want to learn a trade ask at your local training & employment agency what options are available.
Don't worry, very few people know what they want at 16.
"Go sell crazy some place else...we're all stocked up here"
When I was younger I was a bit of a tom boy and wanted to be a mechanic but my Mum & Dad put me right off the idea going on about it being a blokes job and so I would never get a job.
Looking back now I wish I hadnt listened because I now spend my days sat behind a desk doing a nice little office job and Im bored shitless!!!
Hey Miss P, I'm also stuck in office hell, which is why I'm usually here during the day.
Bebe, what do you want to do?? What are you vaguely interested in and what do you definately not want to do?? The wonderful world of office BS, outdoor labouring, service jobs, technical, professional or what??

Good Luck
but I also think you should read these: http://www.thesite.org/careers/job/whats_your_perfect_job.html

You could also try doing a TEC
Training and Enterprise Councils (TECs)
Your local TEC runs many business training courses for people of all ages. Here you can learn new skills to improve your job prospects, or even help in starting your own business. TECs also offer free advisory and counselling services.
But mainly I'd recommend going to your careers centre for a chat
Good Luck
