  Just because ecstasy has not killed as many people as some other recreational drugs, this does not mean it is completely safe. It also maked people intollerable bores. AND, for a so-called LOVEDRUG, it can be very intimidating when a gang of druggedup ravers descend on you on a Sunday Morning, coming down from their experiences.

  There have been many other deaths from ecstacy, however, I think that Leah's death was used as a tool for the police and government. At the time there was a massive clamdown on drugs with John Major's 'Back to Basics' campaign. I believe that, although it's very sad for someone to die like that, at the end of the day she couldn't really take her drugs.<P class="body">

Possibly. It probably had a lot to do with the massive, well-oiled anti-drugs campaign which followed, lead by the poor girl's parents.<P class="body">BUT, you can guarantee that if she'd been a glue-sniffing bunter from a run-down estate there wouldn't have been anywhere near as much attention.
