there'd be a roller disco and a room for pimps and ho's
everyone would have to come dressed like a blacksploitation 70's film and the bar people would wear massive afros.
The theme would be disco and the colour would be pink.
The drinks would be cocktails and terrible beer and there would be a Northern Soul room too.
My club would have one entrance fee, but have lots of different rooms, the wacky warehouse with ball pools, bouncy castles and things like that. It would have a water park bit with slides and inflatables. A foam room for foam parties.
A cinema where the audience have keypads to vote for what programmes to watch out of a choice of loads of things, from films, to kids programmes, to porn. I have been to a club in Birmingham with a cinema and it's great to go and watch horror films when you are off your tits cos everything is so funny!
Ice cream bar where the ice cream is alcohol tinged, with all different flavours.
A dance room, with a wobbling floor, lots of podiums, lasers, a suspended from the ceiling glass dance floor.
Definitely free water fountains, loads of them.
A chill out room with total sensory experiences like all soft things on the floor and moving lights on the ceiling. How cool would that be when you are stoned/high-not pissed though! With good chill out music.
The music in the music room would be old skool stuff, trance, old skool drum n bass tracks, Ibiza type music.
Then I would have a bar where they play literally anything and take requests, and play anything you want.
Oh yeah, and don't you think a rollercoaster that went over the dancefloor would be great?
Oh yeah, and upstairs there would be little rooms that you can sleep/shag in. You put in tokens that last 1 hour so you can do what you like in there!
Can you tell that I have thought about this a lot? You know when you come back from going out and you have deep conversations-mine would often be about this topic. I have even made sketches of the design and I'm going to put them up on my web site at some point. So look out!

i agree, if anyone has been to passion in coalville, they have a superb policy - they search any bags going in for large amounts of pills, but rarely individuals knowing full well they will be in possesion of small amounts <IMG SRC="wink.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">
they then totally ignore the 2,000 odd people looking fairly fucked, gurning, and generally looking like they are on pills
they hire a paramedic for the night <IMG SRC="smile.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">
they make water avilable for free, if the person in question looks in need
they have a huge chill out area which is bloody cold
hand out leaflets sometimes on safe club drug use, which are always read and saved, nobody ever chucks them on the floor, a nice you scrath my back i'll scrath yours situation
and guess what ? they have very very very few drug related incidents <IMG SRC="smile.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">
as for weapons <IMG SRC="mad.gif" border="0" ALT="icon"> if anyone was found entering my club with a weapon, they'd get a good kicking of the door men under self defence before been handed over to the police

1 or 2 Majors and Local names, they are the biggest unknowns you could imagine, someone who can really work the crowd, fun, over the top, bit nutty, at the end of the day, if you play the right music and you have the right attitude, you can play there....

Lasers, Strobes and dedicated Light Jock (So Important), Fire-earters, Stilts, Foam machines, smoke machines... you name it.. flamboyant! Dedicated cleaners for bogs, club workers to guide you round.... Deodrant/flannels in toilets.... If anyone ever had the privilage of visiting Home in London before it was shut down, then you get my picture! We'd be a polysexual club, anything goes.. we're after the right attitude...

That would be my ideal, I suppose, I've helped run nights in the past, but never on that scale...

What would you call it? Planet Rock (Zero points for originality, I know.)
How many rooms? One main room, with a private balcony for party bookings.
What sort of decor ? Sci-fi theme with Sci-fi murals on the walls. Red leather seats (with big, comfy armchairs) and varnished tables in the bar area.
Big name dj's or up and coming types? mostly live bands.
Drug policy? Absolutely no dealing, but the inevitable small amounts for personal use could be overlooked.
Special features? Big stage for live bands with moshpit. Seated bar area to the rear, with the aforementioned comfy seats. Private balcony with its own bar and seating. The bar will serve real ale and crisps, as well as the usual club-type drinks.
Prices? ~£5 entry but with student discounts.
Location? Ayr, it needs a proper rock venue.
Special nights? I think we can get a good variety of nights with metal nights, indie nights, open mike nights...
