Food for fitness?

I've just started running to get fit (as opposed to losing weight) and was wondering what the best pre- and post- session foods would be?

That article may help, I've not had a chance ot read through it all but it seems a good source of info.
don't eat for an hour or so before you run
also during: jelly babies are a godsend, really.
pasta is a general good all rounder
I also need to know about post-workout food as well.
