Passport

right, im travelling to egypt on the 4th of June - 11th of June.

My passport expires on the 11th of September 2007. Do I renew it before I go away, I dont want to send it off unless I HAVE to, because i will only worry the whole time that i wont get it back in time for my holiday

    Some countries (of which Egypt may be one) require 6 months validity after date of travel. How strictly that gets inforced in places with laxer border controls, who can say...

    I have had a look on the government website. I would pop down to post office and ask there as I vaguely remember something about not being able to travel with less than 3 months validity left.

    My passport will then expire 3 months exactly as I leave egypt. Is it likely egypt will be strict about arriving into the country, or leaving? if the later there could be a problem - (or is that irrelevent?)

    another issue, is I like very young on my passport, but that has never been a problem before.

    I dont look anything like my pic, but never had a prob. However regarding the time limits, I would strongly recommend going to PO or speaking to someone at the passport office. It is not something I would take for granted, you dont want to be stranded!

    had it checked with the post office, and 2 weeks later my new passport has arrived!!

    i prefer loosing driving licences and phone chargers.

    I now own 3 driving licence photocards after loosing them and finding them.

    My passport isnt leaving my wardrobe, except when I pack my suitcase obviously
