Mix Vocals to guitar backing

smitherzsmitherz Posts: 968 Part of The Mix Family
Anyone a good piece of software so i can mix 2 seperate tracks and integrate them as one?

I have an MP3 file with just vocals, and another MP3 file with guitar backing. I need to merge the 2 together so they are sync with each other.

Erm... there are lots of things that can do that sort of thing...

A really easy one to use (its quite a basic program but will do what you need) is goldwave (www.goldwave.com has a free trial)

You can load up both tracks and you can paste one over the other... its pretty straight forward.
If not you could always email me the bits and I will do it for you.

    SoundForge
    Pro Tools
    Adobe Audition
    Recycle

Also you could do it with any sequencing software like

    Reason
    Cubase
    Logic
    Acid Pro
    Fruity Loops

Although that may be a bit over kill for what your doing.

Goldwave & SoundForge are not multitrack recorders so you will not add more than one mono/stereo channel. And Recycle is for chopping up loops and fixing tempo problems.

Best thing to use is Audacity as that supports multitracking, plus it's free http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

    p.s. Pro Tools is a sequencer :)
