Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
Am a little peckish just now and thinking about food, just wondered what everyones fave sarnies are. (sorry if its been done before)

Mines gotta be mashed banana and mayonaise, although good old peanut butter is a close second!

I seem to have developed some kind of unhealthy obsession with cheese spread and cheese and onion crisp sandwiches :chin: Other than that anything with chicken in it, can't say i'm that adventurous in my sandwich choices.

Beef, maybe chicken, but number one choice would be Crispy bacon with Chives Philly...

soft brown baton (mini baguette), mayo, roast beef, lettuce, tomatoes and salt and pepper...but it has to be in that order to have the right spread of flavours  That is one thing i will miss about uni, they were soooo good and making them at home just doesnt taste the same :(

But i am really liking the browned butterball turkey in a sandwich....and i loooove chicken mayonaise, it has to be loaded with freshly cooked and shredded chicken and mayo and salt and pepper, i hate it when you get cheap shit chicken mayonaise sandwiches that taste like spead.

And omg LACY!!!! i thought i was the only person who liked those, it also tastes good with salt and vinegar crisps

Anything without mayo sooo none of the sandwiches out of the shops! I don't even know how people can eat mayo, its so fattening and ewwww :yuck: It tastes ming!

Saying that though, I have a thing for cheese which isn't much better. I like cheese salad sandwiches, cheese and onion sandwiches, cheese and ham sandwiches. I also like chicken/turkey sandwiches.

Ploughmans if I'm just buying from a filling station.

If I was buying from a sandwich shop I'd get something like chicken tika with lettuce and mayo on brown bread.

If I'm making it at home bacon and HP sauce (usually toasted bread).

    This is depressingly true :(

I love cheese and pickle on french bread, humus and rocket on sun-dried tomato bread, and cheese and marmite toasted.

Oh and does anyone get the Pret 'no bread' sandwiches? Surely they should just be called salads?

    Mmm, I LOVE mayonnaise!! :yum:

And the best sandwich is my homemade ham, round lettuce and mayonnaise sandwich, on fluffy white bread. Fantastic. Sadly I haven't got one today as I overslept :(

Fish Finger and Salad Cream sandwiches are nice :yum:

Not sure if I have a favorite sandwich though, guess it depends what shop I'm in.

I like Pret's Tuna Niçoise and a little shop in Nottingham does a great Brie, Red Onion and Cranberry panini :yum:

I can't believe i'm admitting this... but i'm loving the asda egg mayo sandwich filler at the moment :D

Usually though, nice bread with proper gammon and salad, mayo, salt and pepper. Yum. Or sliced tomato on toast which has been rubbed with garlic, salt and pepper. Also very good.
