Male Escorting?

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
Im thinking of moving back to my home city of plymouth, but the money is crap, so someone told me i should do escorting!

Im a pretty good looking guy, so ive been told, and think i could be up for it!

I phoned an escorting agency yesterday and spoke to them about what the job entales, and it seems quite fun and a bit too good to be true. They sau youve got to pay a registration fee of £270 to start, but is it some kind of con?

Has anyone done escorting before? If so then what is it like, and do you have to wear certain clothes if meeting wealthy ladies? Also, is it possible to scrap the agency once youve met the woman, and get her to pay you cash without the agency knowing?

I need to know more about this before i decide to go into it.

Let me know, Brad

I see no reason why a deposit would be required, also do you think you could bring yourself to shag some 20 st munter, or even be seen about town with a 20st munter?

Arrangement fees, advertising fees, access to a huge list of potential clients?

A pal of mine was looking into this.

You tend to have to be pretty well read, up to date on your current affairs etc, very well dressed etc etc. Basically, people are paying for you to entertain them, and if you're unable to chat about anything decent (for example), you're not going to be up to scratch. Meaning - they're not going to be wanting to talk about tits, ass and football!

He looks after the website of a particularly high-class female escort (he won't give me the link, for some reason)...

He's just sent me this link:

    www.thecourtiersclub.com

Which he says is worth a read.

This is another website he looks after, www.colecarter.com and may not have as much info on, but you get the idea.

My friend's advice is be a boyfriend or a husband instead, as both of these could become difficult to attain by becoming an escort...

I'd say if you had to pay to register then it sound like a con, if I ran the agency then first thing I'd want to see is a photo to see if you look the part.

Sounds like a con. Any agency, whether it's escorting, extras, jobs, etc that asks for an up front registration fee is quite likely to be a scam. Agencies exist to get people work, they make their money by taking a commission when they do that.

Tbh I think it's a complete myth to think that escorts spend most of their time with wealthy clients in fancy restaurants, going to the theatre and discussing the arts. I suspect the reality is sex in a cheap hotel.

One of my boyfriend's brothers is a male escort (on top of his "regular" job) and works through a local agency. There seem to be quite a few in Newcastle but I can't say I'd noticed before he told me, so I guess they fly under the radar!

Anyway, as far as I'm aware they took him on free of charge and now take a cut of what he earns, he is a handsome devil though so I'd imagine they might've waived their fee if they charged one  He has mentioned going "private" in the past but I think he finds the setting up and time management aspects of working for an agency very helpful indeed! I think if it was that simple then all escorts would start going it alone - the security net of the agency is comforting for both the client and the escort.

As for what he wears, well it totally depends. A large part of his escorting these days is escorting ladies to big corporate or social events, so the agency bought him a tux as he didn't have one. When he started out I think it was more low-key, he's very much one of their recommended escorts these days. When he went on his first "date" he wore a suit, though, I remember it like it was yesterday (and it was his first day at school).

Oh yeah, he sleeps with around 50% of his clients. I can't say for sure whether there's any pressure for him to do that, he's not the sort of bloke who'd be pressured into it but he does come out with some wild stories about hideous swamp beasts that end with... then I shagged her. Hmm.

Without giving too much away, I'm telling you it's a con (I know that sounds arrogant, sorry). No agency who wants talented, good looking people on their books will charge a fee. A good agency will typically take a percentage.

Fee = agency that can't do a good job, so has to make money some way.
