If people stopped complaining and using the south park approach all the time ("drugs are bad.. umkay!!!") and consentrated more on education, saftey and treatment we'd be a much safer society.

now, personally, i dont use drugs, but have learnt not to press my opinion onto those drug users who go mental when i do, and that is why this is my first post on the drugs board. why then, have i yet to meet a drug user who does the same as i do?

I don't go on a flip when someone expresses a different opinion. What I have a problem with, is these people who are spouting out bollocks and trying to forse their view on others.
I don't have a problem with drug education and people knowing the risks when taking any drug. It's the fact that it goes beyond the education. That site is full of bollocks. If the government/media is gonna feed people false information then people will lose trust in them. As Justin pointed out, that's probably how a large number of problems with drugs come about.
Why cant it be down to the individual to make an informed choice on drugs. Why do we need somone telling us what to do. Let the government give a clear and truthful picture on drugs and let the individual decide. Very much in the same way as alcohol.
PS I don't campain for the use of drugs. Yes I use them, and we talk about them a lot but I don't try and make people do them. It's up to you if you wanna use them.
More often than not the people with the best eduaction on drugs are the people who use them recreationaly.

i totally agree. after living on an army camp with very little to do,we did start to smoke weed to make life a little more interesting.we did this for a number of years and not once did we even consider sticking ourselves with needles to make it more fun!!
i find it very frustrating when these people who have probably never lived in the real world spout all this shit about what they think we think....Bollocks!!
