Happy/Merry Christmas/Other Holidays everyone,
I had a wonderful day with my family, and am feeling better lately than I have in six months.
I finished the detox stay in the hospital, where I was coming off of Xanax and Valium. Went really well, and I was pretty comfortable. I've been clean for several weeks now (almost a month? I'll have to check my clean date!). I'm staying with my parents now until my residential program starts January 3rd.
Just wanted to thank everyone for their support over the past few months. You can't imagine how much it has help and meant to me to have support from people who aren't involved in my life. The fact that none of you know me, and don't have any vested interest in my life makes the well wishes all that more honest and touching.
It feels so wonderful to be clean right now, not even on prescription drugs. I really believe that I'll be staying clean this time. I don't have cravings, and I feel strong instead of wanting to give up.
I hope everyone else is having a wonderful holiday too.

I no what u mean about feeling much better being off everything, including prescription drugs, I felt the same too. Although Ive been finding it so hard over this period. Anyway, hope u had a lovely xmas and the new year is a good one <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif">
