You could also try this website but your best bet is to do a bit of googling and you're sure to find something that suits :)

What sort of thing is it you're after?

Me and my mates went to a fantastic one in Prague, about a 15 minute walk from Wenceslas Square (10mins from a number of shops, resturants etc...) next door to a rediculously cheap bar.

It was fairly smart in the reception and dining hall, but the rooms were a little more basic (still more than you would expect for the price, and was clean and comfortable)

But if i was going with my other half i think i could look to spend a little extra and find some where even nicer, but for a group of lads this was perfect. (I'll find the place out, city hotel or something, cost us £20 each a night if i remember correctly (this was November though)

As for Amsterdam, expect to spend alot more on accomodation (in my limited experience anyway)

    It was called City Club

Google "city club"+prague and it brings up a fair few reviews and links

It was £29.50 per double/twin room per night, so about £15 each even better than i remember :thumb:

The Ministry of Sounds feature on Amsterdam has some useful links at the bottom.

I actually got ripped off the last time I went :(

    Aww, what happened Helen :(

I almost got pick pocketed in 'dam, but then again i was walking round quite a colourful area shall we say (cannot find an appropriate smile!, need someone looking up into the corner of the room whistling)

Someone came along side me, pretending to talk to me whilst gently kicking up and down my shin, unfortunatly it failed to distract me from his hand that was trying to get into my pocket the (rude word) :impissed:

I've just been looking at hotels in amsterdam. They seem just about what you'd pay for a decent hotel in Britain. Anyways the one I like the most is called Hotel Brouwer http://www.hotelbrouwer.nl It looks lovely very quaint and is right in the centre of Amsterdam. Think their prices were bout 90 euros a night for a double room.

Thanks everyone! I'm trying to find hotels for my Mam and Dad who are planning on going to one of these cities for their 25th anniversary in June. I'll show my dad this thread.

We stayed in the Allborg hotel when we were in Amsterdam, in the Pijp district. Nice hotel, nice rooms, bar, breakfast and a reasonable price. Only annoying thing is that it was quite far to walk to get to the Red Light District and the city centre for us which was quite annoying because we kept paying for taxis. Mind you, we are very lazy, other people say it's walking distance.

I've stayed at Sir Toby's Hostel in Prague...that was cool. Nice, friendly, clean and cheap...stayed in a private room but there were four of us. Also stayed at Meeting Point hostel in Amsterdam which was cool, not the cleanest place tbh but it had a cool comfortable bar where you could chill out and smoke whatever you bought at one of those delightful coffee shops...
