Hayfever - Anyone else's kicked in yet?

Anyone else got hayfever symptoms already this year?

I've been getting them on and off for the last three weeks :(

Flixonase nasal spray is helping me - as it has for the last five-ish years - if anyone needs a recommendation! (available OTC from Boots) :)

Well lots of people recommend buying local unfiltered honey and eating some everyday so you build up some immunity to the pollen.

    YES.

I was about to post a topic the other day actually cos usually my hayfever doesnt start this early. its much worse this year, i think i sneezed about 8 hundred times the other day and when i wasnt sneezing i was feeling like i was gonna sneeze and my eyes were watering.

i might try the nasal spray!

I've noticed I've been sneezing lots lately.

The eye itching, etc doesn't usually kick in till early June though.

I hadn't had any effects in Exeter, but I'm back home for awhile and its really kicked in. I think the sea air near Exeter helps prevent it.

I live near-ish (8 miles) to the sea and work literally 800m from the sea - it's not helping me! :(

DG: How local is local? I might visit a few farm shops at the weekend.

Local farm shops/farmers markets should do the trick.

Mine to grass pollen seems to have started already as well. I couldnt work out why my "cold" for the past two weeks hasnt progessed past the sore throat and sneezing yet.

I get occasional days where I'll sneeze all day (100+ sneezes), which happens once every other month. Normally brought by the heat.

I have decided that my body is evil. I never ever got hayfever until I went to the Norfolk broads last year and got it really badly while we were going round one of the broads on a boat. And today I have itchy, watery eyes and a runny nose and it's not nice :(.
