Alcohol

Since i started takin drugs, i've found that i hate goin out to get drunk......i feel so out of control and hate the way i act when drunk.it also seems such an effort. Has anyone else found this problem? what have u done about it?

Yes I have. I just dont drink anymore. I always end up bleeding on alcohol and i hate it.

I've pretty much stopped drinking as well, though I avoid it 'cos I hate the feeling of overdoing it then throwing up while collapsed in a heap on the floor. Humiliating.

No matter how drunk I used to get there was always a little sober voice telling me how much of a tw@t-faced ass I looked.

I still drink, I just don't over-cook it anymore. Mind you Christmas, the season of alcohol, is fast approaching.

I've never taken an 'e', but as my thread explained a couple of weeks back I often get into stupid situations due to alcohol (, such as hospital, fighting and generally getting lost, losing shoes, etc). I seem to have calmed down my drinking but not enough, I'm still out of control when drunk. As yet I kept out of serious trouble and I don't see my habits changing any more because its too much effort. I've decided that its not so bad doing what I'm doing, so I'll probably just continue on my pissed up ways. If I wanted to change, like you do, then just don't drinking. I don't think that I can.

I think with alchohol, you tend to get greedy with it, whereas with e, one pill and you're good to go!

Nah, with pills once I pop, I can't stop. With alcohol I know it can get me into trouble so I don't bother going to OTT.

If alcohol was illegal, what class drug do you think it would be? Personally I think it would be the minimun of a B class drug; think about it... People can get aggresive, and while under the influence, you do not think clearly (confusion as the experts would call it <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/wink.gif">), your perception of distances etc are severly reduced, lack of physical control, nausea, "hangovers" which can last all day, it can be addictive, and plus to my recconing I think it severely changes the way people think, even when off the drug, allthough it may not be so apparent, ie; heroin users you can usually spot a mile off, alcohol's long term effects are so commonplace and "socially acceptable" society accepts this as normal human behaviour... I could go on but I won't, hope this makes for an intresting topic <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif">

Yep interesting point, and dont forget that unlike cannabis, there is little use for alchohol for medical purpouses.

As far as getting drunk is concerned, alchohol is like a drug, I mean as far as going out for a pint goes fine. But I dont think downing shots like there's no tomorrow is quite the cleverest thing to do, speaking from experience.
