Nah not really, that was just to get your attention.
On a serious note though, I went to my local club the other day for the first time (I only turned 18 recently and couldn`t get in before) and both my and my male m8 were searched by security on our way in.
Our female companions however were not searched. I think this is completely unfair.
I mean if they`re looking for drugs or weapons, women can have those too, especially drugs.
Not much of a security measure is it? Any dealer could just get his girlfriend to smuggle in a bit of gear for him!
Anyone else go to clubs that are like this? Think its unfair? Is there anyone out there who enjoys it?! :-)

Reason being that male bouncers are not allowed to search women and vice versa. I thought this was really strange when I went into a reasonably rough pub and all the men around were searched, while at 15/16 I wasn't even ID'd. I was later told that this is the reason, for obvious sexual harassment-y type reasons.
I think sensibly speaking there should be both male and female bouncers at every club that's gonna search people. But, on the other hand they're never gonna be completely sure unless they search everyone. In one club, the one of 8 of us who didn't have drugs was the one searched!!
And Snow White, I think u are probly rite. Now that I think about it I don`t think there were any female bouncers. Now that I think about it it was obvious and a really stupid question to begin with.
Ah well, wouldn`t be the first time I`ve asked a stupid question :-)

Didn't know there were any big clubs in essex :P ive probably been there unfortunately which one are u talking about?
