anyways, i need to lose weight on my hips, thighs and tummy, does anyone know any good exercise to do this? and if running is good for this, or does it just build loads of muscle?

u could try doing sit up and side bends for your stomach and hips. also knee lifts are very good, u sit on the edge of a bench or chair and bring ur knees up to ur chest and push them out again.
if u hurt ur ankle then u'd be best not to run for a while and instead do exercises that dont irritate it as if u continue on u'll make it worse (happened to me with my knee)! if u go to a gym ask the instructors for other exercises u can do. aint got a clue bout yoga but i hear its good <IMG alt="image" alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif">

You could try swimming, it gives the best all round workout. FOr your legs the breat stroke would be the best. it would work the sides of the quads, hips and groin area.
Also swimmign would help wiht ur anjkle not much pressure exerted on it

Hope this helps

If you go to your local gym, you can see what range of classes they have for the different ares of your body e.g my gym has a session called 'bums and tums'. No points for guessing which part of the body thats for!

i think using a rowing machine is good for hips. you can join your local gym and they can give you a full programme if thats what you're after. please take care though xxx

For thighs - try stationary cycling...it will build the muscle in your thighs rather than flabby (not saying you are but it hardens them) and along with eating healthy it will make them toned and slimmer.

Tummy - for the rib and upper torso area try sit ups and crunches. 20 in the morning and 20 at night and for lower tummy try laying on your back and raising legs 6 inches off the floor and holding it for ten secs, repeat x ten.

Yoga - FANTASTIC!!!! it streches the muscles and leaves you feeling like you've pushed yourself. Its great...give it a go...

Arent step exercises supposed to be good for thighs and buttocks? *isnt sure*

It matters not who won or lost, but how you place the blame.

Excersises such as rowing is best as there is v. little impact. And yoga is the best thing I've come across too! I'm a dancer and found that I'm not just more toned but alot more flexible too, and it all happened pretty quikly.
Have you heared of Tae-bo? Its hard work but its really worth the effort. It really gets you into shape.
Running can bring problems like injuries cos of all the impact on your knee and ankle joints. Not just that, it can get very boring.
I suggest you change between different exercises every few weeks as the body can get used to one thing and not have so much of an eefect on you.

Hope I've helped
