Wanted some info - is it normal to think about suicide. I think about it at least once a day, but know i'll never have the courage. Sometimes i wish i did, but coz i think about it so often, i was wondering if everyone thinks about it.
Thanks

I think it would be normal to think about it once or twice but if you are thinking about it eveyday I think you should tell someone (docotr, parents, really good friend)

I would think about it alot to I'd tell everyone i'd never really do it wouldn't have the guts. A few months later I found myself kinda trying. It turns out I have depression I have been put on medication for and now don't feel so bad all the time. well anyway
I'm not saying anything is wrong but it can't hurt to be sure.

Yeah, well suicide is a tricky subject. I think U should c your G.P. If your under 16/18 can't remember then they may tell your parents. I've considered it a few times even today, never really tried it although I do know people who have taken an overdose.

I think that if U feel sad & depressed etc. then it's worth going to see someone about it, but for God's sake don't tell your parents esp. if they're quite prudish!! They'll replace all cutlery in the house with plastic! I've been diagnosed as depressed and am taking prozac.

If U get offered something you're best to take it! Be warned, it takes time for the meds to kick in & U may feel bad for a while after starting treatment.

    All the best :~)

I'd just like to point out that many parents are very supportive and helpful when they learn that their offspring are depressed, so it's usually OK to tell them.
