Glandular fever

hey,
my boyfriend has to go and have tests done for this, as he has been really down and lethargic recently, and also has a sore thorat.
he's right in the middle of his gcses, and i just wanted to know if anyone has any info on it, etc. cos i'm kinda interested!

    Hiya

    At the end of January I came down with a really sore throat, I felt sick and everything. All I wanted to do was sleep. One night I felt so ill my mum and dad had to take me thru to the emergency doctors and they said it was tonsillitus and gave me some penicillin. But this made me even worse, it inflamed the lining of my stomach and I couldnt get out of bed. Eventually I was given stuff for this but afta a few days i was really ill again, so back we went to the emergency docs where he said he thought I had glandular fever, and that I should go back 2 my doctor to have a blood test. So this is wot we did. The results came back saying I had bacterial tonsillitus. I was SO relieved it was glandular fever.

    So I really hope ur b/f doesnt have it, cos I know exactly how awful it is <IMG alt="image" alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/frown.gif"&gt; Try not 2 worry and just b there for him <IMG alt="image" alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif"&gt; im sure it'll b fine.

    in feb i got told i had a throat streph infection, i felt dreadful, then i got i slight rash so i went 2 my doc again and she said i had a throat infection still, but mayb glandular fever, so i was shittin my self, the nxt morning i woke covered in this rash so the doc came over and said i either had meningitis, glandular fever of scarlet fever! in the end i had scarlet fever, which is quite serious, v.infectious, but i was so relieved it wasnt glandular fever.
    it cud b scarlet fever, but im no doc, and i dont trust em now n e way.
