Why shouldn't you pluck hairs if they grow from a mole or around your nipples? Reading through my old Bliss magazines last night I used to swear by those! Anyway yeh, I just came across them saying you shouldn't but they didn't say why and i was just wondering if anyone here knew.
Cheers guys

There's a girl in my mirror
I wonder who she is
Sometimes I think I know her
Sometimes I really wish I did
i noticed i have an ickle hair growing from this mole on my chin yesterday but luckily it's quite light, just kind of long. but it doesnt really bother me. i have one on my hand too... im really paranoid about the hairs on my arms generally, they're longer and darker than everyone else's!! at one point i was even bleaching them with jolen stuff, partly stemming from this boy in year 7 telling me i was a gorilla and yelling it for all the class to hear paranoid about it ever since.
totally off topic lol.... but i dont think id like to pluck it out, if i ever catch the mole on my stomach with a fingernail it KILLS, and just imagine plucking out a hair! i think id be doubled over in pain with tears streaming down my cheeks! lol better not ever try those weird methods of hair removal like electrolysis, the thing where they wind thread round each hair (threading, thats it!), or epilation where they just yank out the hairs with a machine! or waxing for that matter lol, id die!
Burn baby burn!
Ooooooh Sugar was a bit rude for me! lol
The coarse hair which sometimes grows in a mole can be removed by shaving. Plucking may cause inflammation resulting in a painful lump under the mole.

im not shaving my chin or the b ack of my hand to get rid of one tiny hair!! lol
Burn baby burn!
I'll stick to shaving
imagine the ow-ness of pluckin hair from nipples! god, just the thought of it.
As for moles, just cut the hair really short. That way it's not really noticable and you're not getting to the root.
I recently bouht myself a diy electrolysis machine thing. It's only a mild prickly sensation and it does a small area in one go (not each hair). You just leave the wand in place for 20 seconds and is no where near as painful as plucking (although treatment works faster if you pluck the hairs first).
One of the causes of cancer, although believed to be very minor (Cancer is difficult to pinpoint the cause in many cases because it usually develops over a lifetime), is believed to be constant iritation. I remember a study on rats where they irritated the same spot by scratching it very lightly with a tiny back-mounted machine for hours on hours per day and found cancer developed in a very tiny portion of those mice. So plucking hairs will likely do nothing.
