What was this stuff?

SystemSystem Posts: 8,583 Community Managers
Just had some pure apple jiuce. At the bottom of my cup, it was slightly cloudy. I then took a mouthful and tasted what can only be described as the taste of syrup.

Anyone have any idea what it was?

Yes it was. And other than that stuff, it tasted fine.

Fruit juice is extracted from fruit, made into concentrate by extracting most of the water and shipped to wherever it's going where the water is put back in. If you look on the carton I bet it says something like 100% apple juice from concentrate. It probably just needed a good shake or something.

    Yes it does say that.

It's just the sediment at bottom of the bottle... thats why most bottles of juice/smoothies/milk shakes say 'shake well before serving' - because it releases the sediment and mixes it up so it's not noticible.
