Anyone on here live in the area? Where do you usually go on nights out?

Just don't go to the Firestation!!! or the club at the pier, forgot the name.
Bliss is ok, and of course the Opera House, although be warned, the people that go there, some of them are up their noses...
Dylans, the student place is good!
Also Walkabout near Bath Rd is good, cheap beers, good fun, but almost always full.
I hear there's a good indie place somewhere, haven't been to it yet.

I've spent a few god nigts at both the Firestation and The Showbar (the one by the pier), generally better nights than I have at the Opera House. It all depends who the promoter is. Things have changed in Bournemouth since I used to go a lot. By far the best club in the Bournemouth area was The Manor out near Ringwood. Destiny at The Manor was one of the best clubs and events in the country.

Bournemouths great for drinking and talent, but apart from the Opera House lacks any decent proper clubs.

Generally though, I've never really enjoyed the Opera House. Full of twats.

Whats the Opera House like as a venue, forgetting the people?

It's a superb venue actually, and there are good nights there but Slinky always attracted dick heads I thought.

Anyway Slinky's gone now and by all acounts there's going to be alot more live bands and shit now, and far less or no clubbing nights at the Opera House.

    And Elements is still there.
