I want to buy Full FTP access to .EDU web account for our articles. You should have the URL structure is like http://www.universityname.edu/~user/

    I'm fairly sure you have to be a university / academic institution (in America) to get one.

    Yeah you do, same with .ac.uk, you hve to be a uni or something to have one.

    Just buy a .org or .info. - are you looking for domains to buy, I have a few.

    I think he wants a folder off someone's .edu , but the people who own the domains don't tend to give out webspace to the public :P

    I can't imagine why he would though (unless it's related to spam and making it look more credible?). But that's pure speculation. But as you say, I can't imagine they'd sell it to joe bloggs.

    I seriously doubt that many .EDU establishments would have TOS that allow students to re-sell parts of their web space.
