    And about 300 others on the same subject.

    It's so odd. But oh well sure someone can answer the question soon.

    Just to be sarcastic, and to give you the same type of answer you gave me a while back...

    WHY DON'T YOU POST THIS IN THE VISTA THREAD?

    ;)

    Avast is very good i use it too, although i dont let it run in the background i only use it when my primary anti-virus can't detect or remove it. Always does a good job.

    AVG sucks for vista. I dunno why but it slows the system right down when doing a scan. (As apposed to XP where I can do an intensive scan and it doesn't really effect anything at all)

    BTW, after doing some reading and investigating, it seems the reason vista seems like its bloated in the memory is because if you have a lot of memory, it will prefetch programmes it thinks you're going to use into them. So they're already ready to run when you click.

    TBF Vista is very security concious anyway;

    Windows Firewall automatically on every network connection
    Automatic updating yada
    Virus protection prompts
    Windows defender vs. spyware
    secured internet settings
    user account control

    thats just listing off what appears in the bottom right hand corner.
