I ended up being given the contraceptive injection. Now I am snappy as hell and have broken out in spots. Considering I escaped getting spots as a teenager this is rather annoying.
I know that these are common side effects but I wondered whether they are just at the beginning whilst your body is getting used to it or does it normally continue whilst getting the injection?

Apparently it reduces your bone density after 2 years of constant use, but my main issue was the spots that it was giving me! I would get a lovely ring of spots round my nose and mouth area and the doctor told me that it was due to the progesterone in the depo injection. Looked like I had been glue-sniffing :yeees:
I stopped the injection and luckily I haven't suffered any other side effects. Still got spots but not as massive and painful as they were on the depo.
70% of women put on weight if they go on it. I wouldn't, it's horrid.
