Just a quickie...

Does anyone read agony aunt columns these days? We're looking to do a bit of marketing to agony aunts and uncles out there and wondered if anyone here reads particular columns, likes advice pages from particular magazines?

Let us know if you do or don't, it'll help shape who we aim at

I read it in The Sun when I get to work (it's the only part I read) and in all my friends womens magazines. I have a strange morbid fascination with these pages and find a lot of them entertaining. :p

The one in The Star is funny as fuck. I'm sure it's the first port of call for Trisha guests to sort their relationship problems out.

Newspapers are fine as well, I used to remember laughing my tits off at Dear Deirdre on a Saturday during lunch breaks

Just Joan in the Daily Record, especially on a Monday when it’s the kids.

“I’m 13 and my brother is telling people at school that I’m gay. Does this mean I’m gay? I wish I was dead”

I read the ones in Cosmo..Irma Kurtz I think, and Raj Persaud. I like them, maybe because the problems are ones I am more likely to face than the ones in daily papers which are usually along the lines of "I'm sleeping with my boyfriend's brother and best friends boyfriend, what shall I do?"

    I'd reply: "Join a brotherhood".
EDIT: If you don't get this joke, there's nothing wrong with you. I had misread. :grump:

I only read the one in Diva. But that would figure, as it's the only magazine I read.

My favourites are the ones in teenage girls' magazines. Can I get pregnant if I go swimming with a boy etc...

Shouldn't laugh really, but it's impossible.

When I was a teen I love reading the problem pages in 'Bliss' magazine (aimed at girls aged 11-15 methinks) and 'Sugar'.

These days, I read the problem pages in the fashion magazine 'Happy'

I love the teenage girls ones, they tend to be pretty awful. I do read the agony aunts but only if its a newspaper/magazine that I pick up, i dont really buy any myself.
