    everything is downloadable if you know the right places ;)
    I'd highly reccomend photoshop as opposed to psp though. Its pretty easy to pick up (i taught myself)

    ETA: icey, I found PSP so much easier to work with than PSCS2, which came on my laptop already (with ImageReady), and also PSE, which my mum has on hers. Each to their own, like...

    There's plenty of cheap copies of Photoshop that are pretty good. I use Arcsoft Photostudio for anything like this (though as you can tell, I don't really put a lot of effort into my avatars) that comes free with Canon scanners. It seems to do all of the same stuff that photoshop does if you're just after something basic (I imagine there is something more advanced that you pay the £500 for Photoshop).

    I know a few people in the office who don't have photoshop use GIMP - i've never used it, but they reckon it does the job and is entirely free.

    I've been playing around all day trying to make myself a new one, but both of my attempts are crap :D If anyone fancies making me one they can do (anything pink or girly or "princessy" since thats what I've been called all day), but I can't gurantee I'll remember to come back and use it :D

    what filetype do you save yours as icey? im losing shitloads of quality saving as a jpeg (maxing the save copy from PS to highest it can be to fit limit on here) but yours always look pretty clear.
