Temporary Bans

I dont know if this is in the right place, but I have a rather odd request

I want to have something that stops me from coming on here, as in perhaps a temporary ban for daytime hours.

I am far too easliy tempted to come on, but yet I have to do some revision. AND if I fail, I shall personally blame you **Helen** :p

So mods, anything you can do?

    I'm afraid there isn't anything that can stop you coming here - enless you have a specific ip address - we can probably do something to stop you posting though? That way you can just spend all your time reading and get really frustrated with being unable to post - not sure that would help though :)

    hehe, probably not. It may result in me getting so wound up that I would end up going to the local library to post! However, that is a possiblilty if it becomes worse!

    There are plenty of Internet protection software packages about (http://www.softforyou.com/products.html for example). The only problem with you installing them is that you will know the admin password and can get round it easy enough. Unless someone else puts in a password for you and doesn't let you know.

    iProtectYou on the above link has a 14 day trial which should keep you off long enough to get you studying done. You can block all internet access between certain times or just certain websites, etc....

    But it is one of many software packages that do the same job.

    It doesn't matter about being able to read or not, you just like posting to spread the gossip.
