    my sister was only in actual labour with my nephew for about 45 minutes. my mum had short labours with me and my sisters too. hopefully it runs in the family!

    Thank you all, I've just got back from the hospital with MoK jnr and v2.0, they are both doing the big brother thing with her already. That is going to be one spoiled little girl.

    The beard thing is a tradition now. It's not something I usually sport but whenever Mrs MoK is pregnant I have stopped shaving. Dunno why really. It will be gone soon - much to my Mum's delight apparently it makes me loko old and as I'm her baby it makes her feel old too...

    The labour was really short, scarily so. Almost from the first contraction they were coming at two minute intervals and I knew that I had 30 miles to drive to the hospital. Thank god it was 4.30am because I was able to really cane it :eek: Felt sorry for the family who were waiting with me (Mrs MoK mother was birth partner) because they had already been there 52 hours (!) when we walked in, she was still going after Hannah was born. Found out tonight that she had a little boy. 8lb 11oz - so no wonder she was taking her time.

    All is well and tonight I am getting my last decent night's kip for a while. Because she's so small we have nothing that fits her so I've already had the "nothing to wear" comment - not even a day old!

    About the car drive: When my stepmum was in labour, my dad had to make a trip that normally takes 3 hours (the babies came 2 months early so they weren't prepared)... And he made that trip in ONE hour! :eek: Thank god nothing happened on the way...

    The speed I was going would get me an instant ban. I'm not proud but fuck it, more important things to worry about at the time. She was in the delivery room for 40mins before Hannah came into the world.

    Nah, I've kept it trimmed. Grade 3 every other week...

    Didn't want to look like Osama :no: Besides, it has a ginger tinge to it :yuck:

    usually its the woman who stops - well after she cant reach anymore anyway.
