penis 'spots'

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
hi all,

i'm 20 and for a while now i've had these 'white dots' on my penis & testicles. the problem is that they're basically spots, and look horrible.

i plucked up the courage to see a doctor but he just said its quite common and not to worry about it.

but i am. it looks awlful and i always keep it covered, even in front of my girlfriend. i'm worried when she finds out she will be disgusted.

has anyone else experienced this and can anyone suggest anything to prevent these spots appearing?

thanx.

I think they are genetal warts. I have got them to. I am trying to pluck up the courage to go to the doctors and get them checked out. I know how you feel

You should go to your local GUM clinic. I think there should be one at your nearest hospital.

All you need to do is phone the main switchboard and ask to be put through to the GUM clinic. If there isn't one, you might be able to try Dir Enqs or maybe the phone book.

Anyway, when you get there everything is confidential, you don't need to give your real name if you don't want. At mine you get given a number so no one ever needs to know your name.

You really should get it looked at though.

if they're genital warts you shouldnt be having sexual contact with anyone without them being protected. ie always wear a condom and i think probably no oral sex until they've cleared up, but im not sure on that one <IMG alt="image" alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/confused.gif">

im sure there something the doc can give you isnt there? hmmmm...

    thanx for the replies guys.

i definitely don't think its warts. just spots as far as i can make out.

and as i said, i have been to the docs and he seemed to think it was quite natural - 'a lot of lads have white dots like this'.

anyone ever heard of this? maybe its worth speaking 2 someone at the GUD clinic or whatever.

    thanks for the help guys!

as for not having sex & stuff... oops!

If you already have had sex with someone, there's not a lot you can do about it, but DO NOT HAVE SEX WITH ANYONE ELSE UNTIL YOU HAVE HAD IT LOOKED AT.

I don't mean by his doctor again. I mean by someone at a sexual health clinic, like a GUM clinic.

just to change the subject slightly, ive got little tiny white lumps under my skin on my forskin, ive had them since i was like 7 or something. they aint painful and i dont think they infectious. they like in a group, like 4 white lumps on the left and 3 on the right or something. i was wondering what they were, you cant notice them unless you look really hard thou. any ideas?

i have a load of little white dots near the tip of my penis, only noticeable when the foreskin is pulked back when it's erect... they've been there since i was born, as far as i remember... there's no pain, and no pus, and i always thought it was normal.
  • Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
The small ones under the foreskin are perfectly normal coz I went to the doctor as I was curious and they are just glands and 100% normal

on the forskin? small whitish/yellow dots? if you're talking about what i think you are then, yes, these are normal. they're glands.

If they're little spots mainly around the head of your penis then they're perfectly normal, they even have a name although I can't remember it at the moment.
Don't worry about it mate, think of it as a studded penis for extra sensation!

My mate went through a huge stress about this, they are quite common apparently, not infectious or harmeful in any way and can't really be removed They are caused by hormones at an early-ish age So no need to worry or go to GUM clinics etc.........

    This thread is really old.

As always, if you're worried about them see your GP. If you think this thread describes what you have, then don't.

Hi, im a 18 year old male, and i have been curious about this tiny yellow dot on the side of my penis, its been there for my hole life and i went to the doctor when i was little and he said it was nothing to worry about, well i am wanting to kno what it is!!!

I dont really think it is a STD or HIV or any sexual disease...

Dead thread. Its better to start a new thread about something rather then dig up a very, very old one. Read the good manners guide if you want to know why.

hello my name is Doctor Timothy Veal, i'm a medical doctor who specialises in sexual health. These "spots" are indeed as you so rightly put it spots and just like the spots on the other parts of your body will eventually go away. I would advice you not to become inpatient and begin squeezing then as this may lead to infection. But as your doctor so rightly said this is a most common problem and no worse than spots on your face.

Damn this thread is old, they're completely normal. All these people saying they're "genital warts"!
