the best thing u can do for your lower stomache is to lie on your back and put your legs straight upt in front of u on the floor to start with. Then bring them up slowely as high as u want and down again but dont touch the floor between. Keep your legs straight too. It works just as well to lift them only about 4 inches off the floor and hold them for as long as u can...its a killer

do sit ups only holding ur legs in the air. another one u can do is hold ur knees up and when u bring urself up, bring ur knees in towards you (if you know wot i mean). also one my dad does is use a brush shaft, hold it behind his neck and twist from side to side. works for him but i dont like it. u could also do knee lifts which are for the lower tummy. sit on the edge of a bench and bring ur knees up to ur chest and back down again but dont touch the ground. do so many sets of them and u'll find it works if i think of anymore i'll post them

stomach crunches - sit ups but bring up your knees and legs as well

sit with your back on the floor and raise one leg straight. write out the alphabet, slowly, with that leg. then do it with the other one, then do it with both legs

whilst standing up, knee lifts is good

swimming - butterfly. dont have to do the whole stroke if ur not a decent swimmer, but get some flippers and keep ur legs straight and simulate the movement of a wave, using your stomach and back to propel yourself rather than your legs

the best one is getting a monofin and doing it, but its probs too hard unless you're a dedicated swimmer and wanna go and buy one anyway

    hope this helps

you could try tensing the muscles that you want to tone, when youre doing normal stuff like watching telly etc. and standing holding youre muscles might help too. (im just guesing, but this is what dancers do for posture)

I've been going on some toning tables recently to try and tone up a bit for my holiday, and they're really helpful. A lot of people think you just lie down and the machines do everything for you, but that's not true. You have to really work hard and the session I do is the equivalent of doing 5 hours aerobic exercise. So if there is somewhere near you that does this then you should give it a go, it's not expensive and it really is worth it

Another one that i've found is to start lying face down on the floor. Then raise urself into a push-up position, and HOLD IT!! It's really tough, but try to hold it for at least a minute. Then, turn over, lye on ur back, and stretch out ur whole body for about 20 mins or so. This isn't tough - watch TV at the same time!!
