treatments for psychosis

should be under drugs but i need input from intelligent medical experts (no offence to any pill heads hehe)

r there any treatments for it basically??

someone told me cannabis eases it if its used carefully and u avoid bad situations when high but i question this. anyone know??

    You need to see a doctor about this.

    Cannabis is not a drug that you can self-medicate with to prevent psychosis.

    The word psychosis is often used without a real knowledge of what it means. You can read up on it here:

    drugs to treat medically diagnosed psychosis would only be available on prescription, and if you have been diagnosed with some sort mental illness such as schizophrenia, i'm surprised you havent been prescribed something already ?

    well there obviously are treatments for psychosis, anti psychotics for example. but like sid said, if someone's been diagnosed as psychotic then theyre gonna be put on medication, not just left to fend for themselves and find illegal substances to help them.

    anyway it says it all in the article really.

    SCHIZOPHRENIA - Are there actually any people out there with this, and if so I desperately need to know if they have managed to have any normal loving intimate relationships with people, as I am in love with a man who suffers from schizophrenia.
