    Before you hit the treadmill, know that your body has a certain number of fat cells. These cells can divide into more fat cells and make u fatter. They divide when they get large enough. Unfortunately, evolution did not anticipate the highly fatty diets we humans have today. And so when you do excercise, Mother Nature did not create a way to make you burn AWAY the fat cells. When u work out a lot, all you do is SHRINK the existing cells. The only way to lose them is by liposuction. So any type of exercise you do should be a long term basis. Otherwise, you'll shrink those cells, making your body "think" it needs food (either from a diet or exercise), and the next time you gorge yourself with chips and beer, your body will think it needs as much as possible because afterwards, it may starve again. Then it sucks out as much nutrients as it can, makin u even fatter than before.
    (sorry for the long message, I thought it important to know this lest the maker of this message becomes one of the many who have done the this and become heavier in the end)
