also, while im here, does anyone have any idea of how much blood a person can safely lose before they need a transfusion or summin? and how long does it take 4 the body to make up the blood loss? i just got kinda concerned earlier coz i keep feelin really light headed and i wondered if it was anythin to do with havin a severe lack of blood in my body. coz of not bein able to transport oxygen or summin?!?! i dunno, but i guess i have a point, or at least in my world i do. oh im startin to talk bollox now, i better go...

    no i was on about loss of blood , like as in wen u bleed too much, and what that wud do 2 u. and how much can u lose b4 it starts 2 really effect u?

    i know its ok 2 loose 200ml (by the way i learnt this on maternity) of blood, n e higher and they get slightly concerned.
    do u just have back pain, or r u actually bleedin from sumwhere.
    backpain can b 2 do with ur kidneys, u shud go get it checked out at the docs.
    fellin dizzy mayb 2 do with ur o2 level in ur blood, the o2 may not b fusin with ur haemoglobin properly.
    r u eatin properly? ur dizzyness cud b due to that aswell, or mayb u have a prob with ur sugar levels, do u have a histor of diabetes in the family?

    Sorry for hijacking - I get backpain around my kidneys when I'm pre-menstrual - that's completely different and doesn't matter does it? Just got me scared a bit there!

    sorry, didnt mean 2 scare u. im sure thats 'normal', i get a bit of back pain @ that time as well.
    its just my cousin was havin back pain and she actually has a hole in 1 of her kidneys, this was a few yrs ago now. so im just slightly aware of it thats all.
    sorry again, i feel guilty now.

    No! Don't feel guilty! No need - I scare really easily anyway! And it's understandable why you'd be made more aware of this type of thing knowing about your cousin. Is she ok?     yeah shes ok, still gets back pain now & again, but theres nout they can do, she finds lieing on the floor 4 1/2 hr helps when she gets the pain.
