Why are some of them closed? And how the bugger do I get them out?

    if some are completely closed, i like to smash them :)

    or just throw it out and find one that inst completely closed.

    if i smash them, i won't be able to tell the difference between nut and shell :p I'm just sad that I have half a packet I cant eat...I am getting through them much quicker than I probably should be!

    pistachio's are ace. usually i throw away the ones that won't open. mind you could always invest in a nut cracker or of the like.

    When you get ones that are closed i normally crack them between my back teeth, although one day i think my fillings will probably come out if i carry on :p

    I actually read recently somewhere that youre not supposed to eat them if the shell hasnt opened!
    I dont know why though, and if i have been able to open them somehow then I will eat them.

    No matter, I binned the ones I couldnt get too...I gave up, and my teeth hurt. You sure you aren't thinking of mussles though? hehe :p

    Everytime i go pub i end up having a bag and a crunchie, such a good combination.
