Yes, finally...

My back is complaining like never before. It may sound as if I'm dying but I'm not, luckily <IMG alt="image" alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/biggrin.gif">
Got this rediculous back ache on sunday and couldn't hang infront of my comp! What a disaster. Mum was quick to blame the computer and I couldn't really disagree. I believe that it's not only the computer though..

Anyway, I'm just wondering if any of you know what's good to do and not to do. I've been streching my back, which mum and dad have been suggesting. I just dunno how to react, it can be kinda hard to listen to your parents advice, even though they have both been suffering from back aches.

Just asking... you know. It's hard to be <IMG alt="image" alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/cool.gif"> with that kinda pain.

If it's muscular then muscle relaxants and gentle excercising (like the stretching) are the best thing.

It's important not to "put up" with the pain because you will tense up, making other muscles worse while your body compensates.

Massage would be good (but I wouldn't imagine your parents will go for that for you).

Anti-inflamatories (like aspirin) would be a better pain killer than straight paracetamol.

If it's skeletal then excercise is probably not a good idea.

You should go see a doctor if it lasts for more than a few days. If it's an injury, the most common back injury is lower back pains caused by tiny tiny muscle tears, maybe from overwork or lifting a heavy load the wrong way. It'll all go away with time, but perhaps some anti-inflammatories from the doctor will help ease the pain until it feels better. Ask for the muscle relaxant Naproxen. It's cheap and quite effective.

I was okay yesterday and the day before... but now my back is acting up again. Might go and watch video instead of hanging online. My irc friend betrayed me anyway <IMG alt="image" alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/tongue.gif">

I don't think it's very serious, but if I'll be suffering at the end of next week I'm off to my doctor.

Thanks for your suggestions! I do keep them in mind and was reminded to read them since my back is hurting..

    Thanks again <IMG alt="image" alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif">
