testicular cancer

I am getting very worried that I may have testicular cancer. I have had this dull ache in my right testicule for about a year now and I thought nothing of it. But I was recently reading a leaflet on testicular cancer and one of the symptons is a dull ache. I have felt for lumps and can't find any prominent ones but I felt a little one at the top of my right testicule. I don't know whether this is a cancer or just normal. I am to scared to tell my parent or go to the doctors so any information would be appreciated. Cheers

    OK, here's the information. Best to get it checked out straight away, even if it's just to put your mind at rest, and don't worry - the doctor has seen it all before.

    Haha, you think you have lumps. Bet they're nothing compared to mine (I've got about 4). It's not the lumps you have to worry about so much, it's if they hurt.

    Doesn't necessarily mean you've got cancer etc., there's other things that can go wrong too. You need to go and have it checked out by the doctor. Embarrassing - but you get used to it lol. They've always been completely professional with me.

    If the lump is on top of the testicle then it's probably actually attached to the epididemis (may have misspelt that). This is quite common and not that dangerous, but may still need operating on occasionally.

    Incidentally I have an ultrasound booked later this month to check them out <IMG alt="image" alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif">.

    Would go to the doctors for definate, but aching bollox could b caused by the way u sit, even if it feels comfortable sitting that way u could still b constricting something or squashing summing or if ur wearing underwear that constricts blood flow, both of these could account for lumps, as build ups of blood could cause either clots or widening of veins... but it's definately best to get it checked out by a doctor to make sure... u never know u mite get some fit nurse doin an examination <IMG alt="image" alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/wink.gif"&gt;
