For a couple of months.

Going to be hard being away from the baby for half a week at a time (I will travel home every 4 days) but if they offer me an attractive salary package at the end of it I will consider it.. for the greater good n all that shit!!

Only if it's for max 3 months though!

Any of you live there ?

I'm going to need some kind of friends when if I go!

Haha, luckily I am fluent in the language of the streets, proper bo!

I need to find a hot female to spend the evenings with, just for companionship.

Obviously my job is fully expenses paid  too so I will have a plush hotel and all meals and drinks paid for if anyone wants to take me up on it.

    mwuahahaa

Pfft! It's not that bad! I've lived here 22 years and not yet been shot...by anything too powerful anyway (touch wood).
Nottingham is a great city, loads to do and see.
From what I am aware of there are quite a few boarders from Notts..
Myself for one, Ballerina (although she's more on the outskirts i think) erm.... well i'm pretty sure there are quite a few others also.. :hyper:

The office is in Clifton.. ?

Haven't decided where to stay in the hotel yet.

I usually stay in The Village Hotel - http://www.village-hotels.co.uk/hotels/Nottingham/default.aspx?EQID=01190312-9999999&gclid=CIiV3YG8iYoCFQdsEAod-k0rdg

I like the service and facilities there, great pool and gym and lovely restaurants etc.

Might go for something more in town this time though, depending whether I am going to be out socialising etc - If I can't find any friends in the office or on myspace I will just double up on weekly gym and wank sessions har ghar

Clifton is not that bad. The people i know that live around there like to tell others that its a really bad area and full of crime but to be honest its just like any other part of any other city. Of course there is crime but its not like the meadows where someone gets shot or stabbed every other day.
Clifton is a fair old wack from the city centre so somewhere more central would probably be more to your liking.
If you can get yourself booked into any hotel there are a few good ones bang in the centre, a citilodge, hilton and park inn are all within walking distance to everything so its worth looking into them..

yeah that's cool but I want to be able to get to work in a reasonable time as well, I enjoy my hotel breakfasts!! hehe

Myspace isn't proving too great with the birds in Notts, some fit ones but not as flush as I'd hoped!! lol

Not to be rude but why will it not be hard to not see the other half as well?

Clifton .... is that the bit that was famous for having the largest council estate in Europe or something? If so, I've been up there a couple of times and it's seemed okay, just once you're in a housing estate, all the roads are circular and intersect with one another and it's impossible to find your way back out.

Why don't you stay in West Bridgford - the supposedly posh bit of the city? Has some lovely bars and marginally less chavs than the rest of the place. It's also on the same side of the city as Clifton.

I would offer to meet up but as I live in a 'hole' on the NW side of the city, it's not particularly practical.

Of course but it's not really the same.

With her I have discussed it beforehand, we have agreed that it's for the best if it means more cash/even better prospects for me - then theres the fact she understands I'm coming back every 4 days etc. He is only 2, he doesn't understand days or time yet!

Further to that I can speak to her on the phone every day and have meaningful conversations with her, with my boy he does things like come on the phone and go "love you daddy, ieuan go park now bye"

and thats it lol.. not really the same ya see?

Plus she won't really change much in the space of 4 days etc, where as he does!
