omg i hope you're not overweight!!! im 5'7 too, and im about 10 stone now, no one believes me when ive said ive put weight on, apart from my mum! i have though, loads on my hips and thighs and stomach. im 18 btw. ive got stretch marks on my thighs too, its normal to get them at puberty, if you lose or gain a lot of weight, and if you're pregnant. you can try and massage moisturiser into them i guess, might help them gto go faster. they will fade over time, but never be totally invisible. dont worry about them, theyre normal!

(eeeeeek just realised iput 6'7 rofl, changed it now! )

Thanks for the link Drifter, when I read this post I remembered LUKA having posted something similar, only when I read it I didn't know the answer, I went and looked it up but then I couldn't find the link again!

No you're not a freak, two thirds of girls get stretch marks in puberty because of the hormone changes around that time, that's also why people get them when they're pregnant.

Over a couple of years they'll either fade or disappear completely, you can buy creams but they don't have much effect so it's probably a waste of money.

And no, you're not overweight and neither is GFM, between 8 and 10 stone is the 'desirable weight' for someone who's 5ft 7 with medium build.

people usually get them from putting on or taking off weight to fast there are some creams for them I don't know if they work tho.

Hiya
Dont worry in time they will fade its part of growing up! Ive heard rubbing cocca butter on them helps make them fade! Ive not tried it like, but who knows it might work!

i'm afraid that there is no way to make them dissapear but if you keep the moisturised they should fade pretty quick.

i have them on my stomach, thighs, hips and boobs. they used to be bright red and really nasty looking, now they are just silvery streaks that are quite hard to notice.

i used e45, vaseline intensive care lotion and cocoa butter lotion (body shop) and the 3 combined worked really well.

No you're fine Justin, that figure I gave was for women (sorry!)

For a bloke who's 5ft 11 and medium build, the 'desirable weight' is 10 and a half to 11 and a half stone.

helly, for you it's 7 and a half to 8 and a half stone. And 5ft 2 isn't that short, I'm only 5ft 3!
