Exercises to do at home

At the moment im trying to lose a bit of weight, im not overweight as such, just feel a little bit chubby, and i was wondering what type of exercises would be good to do at home.

I dont really have the space for an exercise bike, or anything particularly bulky, so i was thinking of something like a dance mat, but i wasn't sure if this was particularly good exercise?

anyone know or have any other suggestions?

    I do sit ups, and in attempt to make my legs look abit nicer, do these kicky things, basically stretching my legs as far forward, back and to the side as possible, in a kicking motion. You find after a while your legs reach alot higher and seem more toned and less flabby.
