BLOODY DOCTORS!

Fair does, doctors are bloody patronising.
They treat old people like animals and talk to everyone as if they were 3 yrs old.
When I was in hospital, the doc asked me what I'd done & I told him I took an over dose.
He asked me "why would you want to go and do that?" so I told him "why do you fuckin think I did that? because it was fun?!"
Anyone else had experiences like that?
OPEN YOUR MIND...

On one of my routine maternity visits, I mentioned it to the doc, hoping for a reason.
He said "well don't sneeze then"!!!
Then another time, he was attacking a verruca I had, with liquid nitrogen. I said to him "I think that's enough now" because it was EXTREMELY painful. He said "no it's not, you're still smiling" !!!!!!!!

He might have been trying to work out your intentions when taking the overdose, was it intentional, did you mean to be succesful.
Or he might have been leading up to "what's a nice girl like you doing in a place like this?":eyeroll:
I'm not racist but I got a real problem with foreign doctors who have qualified in other countries. The amount of mis-dianosis me n friends have had from them is getting stupid.. They cant speak English well enuff to tell u what to do.. I cant understand half of them. There should b some sorta qualification including a speaking and writing test(as my GP couldnt read a word of what 1 doctor wrote on my notes) b4 they r allowed to practise in the country.
I've been treated twice in France by doctors who didn't speak very good English (about as good as my French, so can ask for food and bus ticket etc. but not much more <IMG alt="image" alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif"> ) and neither of them misdiagnosed me.
Funny you should mention French JB, I was just thinking about the cosultant who put the canula in the back of my hand when I was in labour. It was like a comedy sketch, I'd almost completely forgotten.
The consultant was African in skin colour, but his accent was French & I couldn't understand a word he said. It was so funny now I look back. I used to wait until he'd left the room & ask the midwife what he had said. Trouble was, this is just so crazy you're never going to believe me, one of the midwifes had a cleft palate & I could hardly understand what she was saying either!!!!!!!! You had to be there.

i guess the guy i saw just wasnt a very good optician, and the language problem didnt help reassure me and get the true point across calmly!
I think it is actually a very high percentage of doctors rnt trained in this country. Around 15% I think... will check 2morrow with my mum...
A lot of countries dont train their doctors to the same standard, simply bcos it's not need, especially in some asian and african countries, where they r trained to deal with more common ilneses from that place and the serious ones u can catch here e.g. Heart Disease r not concentrated on cos they rnt so common.
The largest number of recruitments is now coming from Australia and New Zealand now as their is a recruitment drive on down there.
But saying that... the queus at hospitals r soo long n e way, without the 15% they'd b longer. I just wish stupid ppl would understand what doctors r for and not go everytime they get a cold, which my mum says is about 50% of diagnosis in her surgery n then they come back for medicien??? idiots
She screwed at me 4 being bad @ remembering pills telling me to buck my ideas up ect. She was just generally really rude and dismissive.
Dont u think this kind of attitude is counter productive tho? That it'll make people not want to go to their doc and ask 4 help and advice??
