I'm interested to hear where other people have stayed whilst in Dublin. My mum and the people from her work are going. They've established they want to get a ferry from Stranraer to Belfast then a coach/ bus to Dublin.

I think they'd be looking to stay in a B&B or a hotel, nothing too expensive.

So where did you stay? What was it like? Did you like it? If not, where would you recommend?

And just as an add on, can you book a coach/bus (not private) from the bus station there?

Thanks :)

I stayed in the North Star Hotel when I went... think we booked through Expedia? I'm talking over 3 years ago now! It was across from the bus/coach station, about a 10 minute walk away from the main run of shops and Temple Bar. It was a hotel and it included breakfast which was amazing - as much as you could eat of anything you could ever want! I think it's a 3*. I was impressed, anyway. :)
