I'm after a new digital camera but just cannot decide what to go for. I'd looked into one of the Casio range but after a bit of research it seems that the picture has a tendency to be blurred, or blurred around the edges. A little off putting to say the least.
I currently have an ageing Nikon which i've been happy with up until now but the current range of Nikon's really don't take my fancy to be honest. Problem is i just haven't got much time to go into some of the shops in town and actually get hold of the latest models and handle one and see if i find something. Looking at pictures and reading specs online only get you so far, y'know !
I was hoping you good folks with Digital Camera's would post a picture taken by your camera along with the make and model so i can get an idea of whats out there and what the quality is like and see what the potential buys might be.
Thanks in advance

It's a very tasty bit of kit, I really like it. Haven't got any pics on this computer. Haven't actually used it too much yet, only got it recently.

(the price on their is very expensive - I got it for £150)
Has got benefits of having the ability to be very very basic point and shoot, as well as having some scope for being towards the more professional end of things. It is really an absolutely top camera.
Having used it for around 2000-2500 images hard to pick just some to use but here is a selection from different kinda scenarios:
Heres a couple of tester shots - full size so be aware

If you need any more feel free to ask
www.dpreview.com might be useful.
here's a pic of what it produced.
I've not really heard good things about Vivitar
Fuji Digital Cameras
Here are a few pictures taken with it:
St. Catherine's Island - Tenby - Resized
Calf - Resized
We have a Canon EOS 20D and a 400D. Both capable of producing quality images, but they're not compact cameras.
I stumbled upon the Pentax A20 and took trip into Jessops to have a gander. Lovely small camera 10 megapixels too. Think i've got my mind set on this camera.

steve's digicams review
it's a handy little point & shoot, light enough to wear around my neck at festivals and settings-wise it's pretty versatile.
my main criticisms would be that:
a good way to see what's possible with a particular camera is to use the camera finder on flickr:

Thanks for that link Treee it has helped a lot. Managed to see some shots taken by the Pentax.
Going to go back into Jessops tomorrow and see if the camera is still on offer and have another look at it.
The one thing that put me off it was the fact that when i took a picture on what i assume was the default settings, when i previewed it on the camera a section of the image, rear to the camera was completely blurred and it really should not have been. It's really bugging me so i need another look.
I have one of these

Which is a decent "bridge" (halfway between compact and SLR) camera. I'd recommend the Nikon D40 though if you can afford it (I can't at the moment ), its a good entry level SLR.

They've had a little tweaking in Photoshop - cropping, levels and curves.
Where did you take those second and third photos?
Nice.
