I'm going to a restaurant tomorrow, just looked up the menu online:
    These are the choices:

Duck Breast with Chicory Tarts, Honey and Clove Jus
Rump of Lamb with Puy Lentils, Asparagus and Glazed Button Onions
Calves Liver, Balsamic Jus, Crispy Bacon and Garlic Creamed Potatoes
Lemon Sole Fillet, Lemon Parsley Butter, Clams and Spinach
Confit Pork Belly, Small Fondant Potato, Spiced Apple Purée
Spring Chicken, Bok Choi, Red Pepper Sweet and Sour Sauce, and Shitake Mushrooms
Salmon Wrapped in Cumbrian Pancetta with Creamed Leeks and Cider Dressing
Polenta glazed with Goat’s Cheese with Tomato Tian and Basil Oil (v)
Blinis with Asparagus, Leeks, and Spinach finished with Crème Fraiche (v)
Butterbeans, Spinach and Cauliflower Purée with Grain Mustard (v)
Sea Bass, Spinach, Girolle Mushrooms, Port Wine Sauce and Truffle Oil
Fillet of Beef, Morel Jus, Celeriac and Horseradish Purée, Purple Sprouting

Too meat heavy...I don't eat red meat or pork so doesn't leave much choice :crying:

anyone know what bok choi and blinis are?
    shitake mushrooms

Think I'm going to go for the seabass.

There's a Pak Choi, sort of a crispy, lettucey type veg used a lot in stir fry. Blinis are small buckwheat pancakes, Russian i think, often served with slamon or caviar

I'm cooking tonight for the first time since I got to uni :)

JsT and the skirt will be witness to my culinary delights:
Two chicken wings lightly browned in the oven with two or three delicately fluffy Yorkshire puddings complemented by delicious sage and onion stuffing and a generous side of roast potatoes all smothered in a rich meat gravy.

OK, you're supposed to have beef with yorkshire puds and there really should be some veg in there (mushy peas, perhaps?) but heck, I'm still a student. Putting gravy on a Pot Noodle counts as a Sunday roast. :D

Mmm, I'd go for the blinis. Rubberskin is right they're little savoury pancakes, very traditionally Jewish, you do tend to get them served with smoked salmon, creme fraiche and caviar but veggie alternatives are always yummy in my tummy :yum: The butterbean one sounds good, too!

I am working late tonight so will probably get a takeaway. Naughty, naughty!
