Addicted to exercise?

Is it possible to be addicted to exercise and is there any harm in it?

My sister has started cycling to work, which works out as 2 hours of cycling every day. She also goes to the gym loads including at lunch time.

She's quite skinny and doesn't seem to eat much...

Obviously it's good to exercise but I just worry she's going over the top? Is it possible to do too much exercise?

in some cases exercise can become an addiction. if the person in question sees beneficial results of going to the gym (thinner, toned-ness, etc) then it becomes a psychological pleasure-giving experience which forms the addiction.

Of course, too much going out (energy) and to little in (Food = energy) is a bad thing. Some people refer to it as Sharon Stone Syndrome as something happened to her and her body started deteriorating I believe.

yes its possible to be addicted.
yes its possible to do too much esp. so in terms of injuries.
could it just be her practicing some sort of extreme diet? - lack of food, lots of exercise.
