hey everyone, i'm new here by the way (my name is Megan im 18 and from northern ireland)
ANYWAYS...umm...i fell twice in the last month on the same knee and the first time didn't rest it properly which was probably why i fell again, anyway the second time i fell i went to casualty and they said i had put my kneecap out (ouch) and have torn ligaments. they told me to rest it as much as possible and walk on crutches...anyways this is a week and a half ago and it feels a little better and i'm back at work, i can walk, etc, but sometimes it really hurts. is there any kind of exercises i can do to make it better?
cheers!

We don't know what ligaments you have torn, so of course we can't give you details of exercises to make it better! It might even make things much worse if you are given the wrong info.
What you need to do is speak to your hospital doctor who will refer you to a fully qualified physiotherapist - the only person who should really be giving you this kind of advice.
The speak to your boss if he does.

That was just a little tip as i know from experiences that a physiotherapist has long waiting lists and it virtually impossible to get an appointment within a week. <IMG SRC="biggrin.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">
Hope it helps and you are running around soon.

I had to see one when I hurt my knee and it can drastically help your recovery.
They have all sorts of ways of gently exercising your joints so they get better. They made me run in a pool and do exercises with a rubber band thingy.
It helped a lot.
