If your bra digs in then it is definitely the wrong size. Also, if your chest is not supported it can tend to make your posture a bit crap.
I know it's a bit shit but it would probably be worth your while to go and get yourself measured - especially if you haven't done recently.
As it's been for the past few weeks it is probably not premenstural, but it can be a symptom in early pregnancy (whether that applies to you or not, I don't know).

Absolutely. Also think about what sort of bras your wearing, could that have anything to do with it?

It'll be worth seeing your GP if you rule the bra avenue out, s/he might come up with a totally different reason! It sounds really uncomfortable, hope you sort it out

Grrr I know, and you get those patronising sales assistants harrassing you. Is it mad to not be totally comfortable discussing your breasts with a total stranger?!

*is not helping*

Your breasts fluctuate in size with your weight your whole life, there is no end growth point. It is quite likely that you have badly fitting bras. Get yourself measured and then pick new bras that support rather than squash them together, wonderbras will only make it worse if worn all the time.
