its just a natural thing really, you damage your skin, it gets red. Apparently it is easier to do when you get our of the shower, but my recommendation is to do it just before you go to bed so the redness disappears by the morning

    what leese said.

    and also - little tip...

rub a little bit of bonjela (teething gel) on your eyebrows before you pluck them and it numbs them a little...

    *queen of useless info*

thanks you two, but when i pluck them at night the redness still hasnt gone by morning, its really annoying.
i will try to pluck them after the shower but usually i do them before a shower.
but i will try it anyway

are you sure you're getting the root out? Sometimes you might be plucking from too far up the hair and it'll break off and leave the root under she skin - this could get infected and cause ingrowing hairs, which won't go after the initial redness goes down. Try plucking them as close to the root (your skin, basically) as you can, and you should be able to see the root when you pull the hair out. Hope that helps!

...and so it would be advisable to go to a salon and get them shaped professionally.
It isn't expensive and you'll be more confident of having 'identical' eyebrows.

I got to admit i plucked mine myself!!!!! lol. I also pluck them weekly so that they don't loose their shape. My advice is to have them professionally done.... if they look ok how you've done them, try a small (and i so mean tiny) bit of hair removal cream. It removes them for longer.... with no red mark. Well ive never had to pluck centrally but i think that should work.

Have you tried plucking loads at the same time??? if so that might be causing the redness.

You're not supposed to use hair removal cream on your face, expecially near your eyes.

Always pluck the hair in the direction that it grows so the root can easily slide out. you can also get some homeopathic cream call 'Hypercal' from places like Boots which helps heal cuts and sores very quickly.

Why not just go to a good quality beautician? It will cost less than a tenner for a professional brow shape - and they'll show you the right way to do it.

Hey Louise...make sure you are using decent tweezers and do it while you are in the bath or after. Do it at night, don't pluck too much and maybe apply some savlon afterwards, then it should be ok.
