Some of you might remember how I started a topic a couple of weeks ago about going light headed and dizzy, well I still feel the same only now I suppose that it is getting worse as I am constantly tired and have been sick quite a few times over the last few week, my headaches have been getting a bit more regular and yesterday i had a nosebleed (which is probably not related at all), but I am trying to convince myself that it is just psycological (don't know if its spelt right. Some of my friends thing that I have an eating disorder such as anorexia but I know that I don't, I also eat a lot of foods high in iron so I do not think that it is anaemia. I know that I should see a doctor but I really dont want to as I haven't seen one in avout 8 years & in a way I'm not scared to see one but scared of finding out that if there is anything wrong with me, what it is. I have told about five friends and that it is, no one in my family knows and thats the way I want to keep it.
Please help! <IMG SRC="frown.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">

Ali, you and I (and probably everybody else) both know that the only sensible thing to do here is get yourself examined by a doctor and get proper qualified medical advice.

You will just have to get on with it, I'm sorry to say. There's no point making posts onto a website - we can't even see you, let alone examine you or do tests to find out what's wrong - you might be given incorrect or even dangerous advice by people who don't know what they're talking about.

If you are scared of your doctor, ask to see someone else in the practice. There may be a GP who you are less frightened of. Also, you can take a trusted person with you (your mum?) or make the appointment for the end of the day so the surgery is quieter.

Failing that, explain your anxiety and they may be able to arrange a home visit.

I know you're having a hard time and you feel scared, but you have to overcome your fears to take proper care of your health.
